It needs to have patient statements readily available since ultimately the patient is who the claim is for so the patient does not have to pay for that portion of the insurance coverage themselves. So the medical practice has to understand that this type of program not only benefits the medical practice but the patient also. If it is a good claims program it will be easy to use and it will help keep down collection expenses and offer some form of management tools also. It also must address security issues because of patient confidentiality. And the medical practice also has to understand that this is an important issue especially when the claims must include a lot of patient personal information. It can reduce errors and increase efficiency for the practice also.
